CLEVELAND, Ohio — For 11 minutes Thursday, Donald Trump was cut off from his favorite form of communication.
Trump’s Twitter account was deactivated just before 7 p.m., apparently by an employee who was working a final day with the social media company.
Through our investigation we have learned that this was done by a Twitter customer support employee who did this on the employee’s last day. We are conducting a full internal review. https://t.co/mlarOgiaRF

Twitter initially said the account had been “inadvertently” deactivated because of human error.
Trump has been a member of Twitter since March 2009 and has 41.7 million followers. He has tweeted more than 36,000 times.
The outage brought quite a few responses on, what else, Twitter. Here’s a very small sample:

Trump’s twitter account vanishing and then reappearing moments later is the best evidence yet that the events of the past 2 years are the result of warring sects of time travellers

Trump’s Twitter was down
We’ve heard the news;
Was the term Twitter used.
But why inadvertent?
Why not make it for keeps?
And spare us dangers
His account daily reaps?
So @twitter, how ‘bout it?
Make it right:
For good tonight
